I had the best weekend! I made the two-hour journey to Jacksonville on Saturday for a concert featuring Def Leppard, Foreigner, and Night Ranger. Def Leppard is one of those bands that has always been on my concert “bucket list” but never had a chance to go see live…until now!
Night Ranger opened the show at 7pm. They played for about 30-45 minutes and they can still bring it.
Next up was Foreigner. They probably played for about an hour. I last saw them in 2008 in Augusta, Maine when I was home after completing basic training. They haven’t lost anything, either!
The headliner, of course, was Def Leppard themselves. What a spectacular performance. One of the loudest shows I’ve been to in recent memory. Here’s my favorite from the night – (Rock! Rock! Til’ You Drop):
My seat was located at center stage in Section 5. They featured a nice catwalk that stretched into the crowd about 12-15 rows and they made good use of it, so for much of the show I was just a few rows from the band.
